Wildwaker
Privacy policy
Last updated 7 November 2026
In short
- We don’t ask for your name, email or an account, and we don’t run our own analytics.
- Your game progress is saved only on your device.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob, which collects some device data to show and measure ads. Where the law requires it, you choose whether ads can be personalised.
- The one-time Remove Ads purchase is handled by Apple or Google, and checked through RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.
Who we are
This policy covers the Wildwaker mobile game (app ID com.wildwaker.game) for iPhone and Android, and this website, wildwaker.com. Wildwaker is made by the makers of Wildwaker (“we”, “us”).
What stays on your device
Your progress, settings, stars, collected runes and streaks are stored only on your phone or tablet. We don’t receive them and can’t see them. If you delete the game, this data is deleted with it, and it can’t be recovered.
If you buy Remove Ads, the game also keeps a note on your device that you own it, so ads stay off even when you’re offline.
Advertising: Google AdMob
Wildwaker is free, and is paid for by ads served by Google AdMob. Ads appear between levels and, if you choose to watch one, in return for a boost. They never interrupt the story.
To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the game collects:
- Device identifiers: your device’s advertising ID (the Android advertising ID, or on iPhone the IDFA, but only if you allow tracking) and an app-specific identifier.
- Your IP address, which can be used to estimate your general location (such as your country or city).
- Device and app information: such as device model, operating system, language and app version.
- Ad interactions: which ads were shown, and whether you tapped or watched them.
- Diagnostics: such as crash and performance information about the ads SDK.
Google uses this data to show ads, limit how often you see the same one, measure ad performance, prevent fraud and, if you agree, personalise the ads you see. Google handles this data under its own privacy policy. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
We ask Google to limit ads in Wildwaker to content suitable for everyone or for teens.
Your ad choices
In the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland
Before any ad loads, the game shows Google’s consent form. You can agree to personalised ads, or decline. If you decline, you’ll still see ads, but they won’t be based on your interests, and less data is used. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy option in the game’s Settings.
On iPhone
The game asks your permission, through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, before it can use your device’s advertising identifier. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the identifier isn’t shared. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
On Android
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device’s settings (usually Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Settings → Google → Ads).
Purchases: Apple, Google and RevenueCat
The Remove Ads purchase (£2.99 / $2.99) is made through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google process your payment; we never receive your card or payment details.
We use RevenueCat to confirm purchases and to let you restore them. When you buy or restore, RevenueCat receives:
- an anonymous ID created for your copy of the game (not your name or email),
- the purchase receipt and transaction details, such as the product, price, currency and date,
- basic device and app information, such as operating system, app version, country and IP address.
RevenueCat handles this data under its privacy policy. Your purchase is also governed by Apple’s or Google’s privacy policy.
This website
wildwaker.com doesn’t use cookies, analytics or ads. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for a short time to keep the site secure and running.
Children
Wildwaker is made for a general audience and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, please contact us and we’ll help.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under UK or EU data protection law, or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or to object to its use. As we don’t hold personal data about you ourselves, requests about ad data are best made to Google, and requests about purchase data to RevenueCat, Apple or Google. We’re happy to help with any request. You can also complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK, that’s the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Where data goes and how long it’s kept
Google and RevenueCat may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States, under the safeguards their policies describe. They keep data for as long as their policies set out. Data on your device stays until you delete the game.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the game or website uses data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.

A contact email for privacy questions will be added here before the game is released.
